About This Game The flute nose dynasty has been watching over Asposia for centuries on end. In secret, they fill the roly-poly world with light and life. Emil, a trader for odds and ends, has led all the Asposians astray, making them believe that the dynasty is in cahoots with dark forces. Seriously, who knows what this weird family is doing day in, day out? The only one who could stop evil Emil is the heir to the flute nose throne: Robert. He has been petrified for three years, though. With a huge dose of enthusiasm, but little to no idea what he’s actually doing, he embarks on an adventure to find the legendary last wind monk. Of course, he has some great company: Peck, as loyal as he is flightless, and Laura, a rebel who certainly does fly, but only off the handle and who is Robert’s love with a capital L, by the way. A final ray of hope is provided by the mysterious Mama Dola, who seems to know more about Robert’s destiny than Robert himself…FeaturesExperience the fun and moving sequel to “The Inner World” (you don’t need to know the first part!). It has adorable and funny characters and good puzzles. Even though I think the first game was better, it's still a good point and click adventure. It also has a good working Linux version. I had a game breaking crash with Mesa versions before 18.2 in combination with my AMD RX 580, but this has been fixed since Mesa 18.2.1.. One of the best games i have ever played!. I think Robert might be my favorite modern game character - I love everything about him. This is a lovely sequel to the original. I pretty much play P&C games exclusively, and as far as modern P&C series go, this is up there with The Blackwell Trilogy, The Journey Down, and The Book of Unwritten Tales for me.The music is great, I especially love the flute-nose ditties. A few old characters and some new characters (my favorite being the mystery bag peddler). Great comedic dialogue that can appeal to both adults and children. Great artwork. Puzzles are a balanced level of difficulty - you won't need to check a walkthrough.I'm still not a huge fan of Laura, but I do like her relationship with Robert and he seems less afraid of her this time around. Emil is a weaker villain than Conroy. I also think this ending was weaker than the original. I think once we find out a certain thing about Emil, the stakes felt significantly lower to me.My liking of Robert and the world of Asposia completely overshadows the problems I have with The Last Wind Monk. I'm looking forward to the next game. Also, this is not a prequel :). This is the best game ever made!. Enjoyed it as much as the first. Just enough buckets of odd to be believeable. I'm looking forward to the next game. Also, this is not a prequel :). After a good title, that was The Inner World, The Last Wind Monk is nothing short of a disappointment. Puzzles aside, most of them is on the original's level of easy\/obscure (e.g. building a little boat to catch a fly that's within your arms' reach, you've heard that right). Serviceable enough. The writing, however, is inexcusable. Original characters are terribly re-written and participate in an artificially provoked and nonsensically resolved story that doesn't even tell anything new - the message is the same as the original's, except written much worse. There are things introduced early that are being dropped right after, or introduced at the very end game without any reason or relevance to the story, and they all lack any kind of character or a comfy feeling The Inner World was full of.The whole thing feels more like a bad fan fiction written by a bunch of random people, not an expansion of the original material made by its creators.
